Auto-generated description: The map highlights Northern Ireland in green and parts of the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany in blue within the context of Western Europe.

I got a random note from Ancestry.com that caused me to slip down a rabbit hole and explore “Regions by Grandparent” and that showed me I’ve roots in Donegal and in northwestern German. Another part of the exploration showed me a map where my great grandparents lived in Iowa and in Pennsylvania.
