@hypervisible.blacksky.app I believe Meta and Hearview are two companies who have shown the traction with easy-to-use products. A company would need a cash pile to offer a cost-sensitive consumer electronics product like smart glasses.

@hypervisible.blacksky.app I feel lucky bc my Meta glasses have given me 3 years of easy Spotify listening and hands-free calls and text messaging while cycling. The battery doesn’t last more than 4 hours nowadays.

@hypervisible.blacksky.app While you’re at it, could you ban all phones at concerts, church services, athletic events, and movies? Why do people want to desecrate reality by holding annoying phone screens up in the air?

@hypervisible.blacksky.app I have used mine since mid-2023 as safety glasses while driving. My visually impaired friends use them for turn-by-turn walking with audio Maps guidance. You can’t use a pedo brush to tar everyone using smart glasses.

@hypervisible.blacksky.app You know this is a growth market? Global shipments of AI-integrated smart glasses hit 8.7m in 2025–that’s 322%up in one year. Forecasters expect global shipments to clear 15 million units. Those smart Oakleys are carving out a new niche as well. …

@topgold.ie I’m also trying to extract meaningful information as visual data. In this case, I should set up a process to set aside 10% of the largest annual expenses. The spike in this screenshot is for Smart Connections.

@PatrickOBeirne Thinking ahead of mournful parties coming in 2029 during AI Winter: insideview.ie/2026/07/0…

@sm2n.bsky.social We should Zoom and chat about this. I’m tweaking a short course “AI for Managers” and was thinking that I need to inject “Playbooking” into one of the four modules that I teach. The training is best with Claude for hands-on but I’m making it work with Gemini.

@jezlyn.bsky.social It would be like plugging in a golf cart at my local pub.

@sm2n.bsky.social Thanks! The headset wires get in the way if heavy gardening so BT works better. I had to turn off my Samsung to let the iPhone own the BT space.

@despod.eurosky.social Respect for the flood plain, flood resistance, and Suir Island are among engineering plans.

@oisinhu.bsky.social She isn’t and her condition is costs more than €400 a month. That doesn’t count the diet she prefers (hamburgers and slice ham).

@eam0.bsky.social That’s why I convert all important materials to Markdown and avoid all sorts of mangled data. Obsidian Chrome extension does a lot of the heavy lifting for me.

@despod.eurosky.social Love Valencia. It has a raging river connection with Clonmel where I live.

@topgold.ie Canva’s reframing has made it stronger.

@PatrickOBeirne 4307 was active all the way up to the fall of the Berlin Wall. Some US Defense Dept money was allocated to strengthen autobahns for tank travel and C-130 landings during the time I had the OPLAN on my desk.

@jezlyn.bsky.social I want one with ropes for doors

@adrianweckler.bsky.social Taking the BART to cross the bay is like using Luas to find a flat near Saggart.

@topgold.ie Stopping at 30 GB free space. Getting BBQ items.

@topgold.ie Last night, three of us had books around our umbrella table.

@adrianweckler.bsky.social Your podep links are PSAs.

@topgold.ie No. But she knows how to turn off location, knowing that might compromise Find My iPhone.

@sm2n.bsky.social I’m currently curating a month’s worth of handwritten notes and will make an explainer video from that.

@klillington.bsky.social Count me as one of the AI Winter Preppers. Solar powered Open Source LLM required.

@sm2n.bsky.social This post bubbled up on Bsky on the day my Readwise asked for renewal.
