Watching OCR help a hand injury

· Bernie Goldbach

Dylan thinking about his handwritten notes, resting his hand on the back of his head.

I am working with young people who often have challenges with their handwriting. At the moment my son Dylan can’t hold a pencil in his writing hand because of surgery. So we’re often using voice-to-text to produce things. And we’re also using Claude’s OCR to read the scrawls he makes into legible words.

Auto-generated description: A handwritten note expresses appreciation for the work done with Virgin Media, mentions showing a video to teachers, and includes questions about journalism and verifying truth in sound.

The text above was written before his surgery. When Claude OCR processed it, all the spelling and grammar improved.
