Reimagining Friend of a Friend

Years ago, I enjoyed the serendipity of FOAF files. Today, I’m letting my Claude Virtual Assistant FOAF for me.

I built a foaf-people skill (after three iterations). It’s persisted to my Cowork account which means it will trigger whenever I ask to build, run, update, or refresh a data set called “FOAF People” inside my Obsidian Vault.

Thanks to the future-thinking vitual assistant that Claude has proven to be, this foaf-people skill bakes in a rank threshold (currently set at 3.4 out of 5), Obsidian vault paths (used for contact info and calendar events), and my Google Drive destination.

I like knowing I you can override any of those on the fly (e.g. “run FOAF People at rank 4+").
