Remembering hour-long database analyses with students

I have mountains of handwritten pages in Moleskines that document lab sessions with students taking higher level IT courses. Prior to 2010, I would carve out an hour for a set of database tasks. Today, each of the 20 minute data analysis tasks I had taught 20 years ago now take less than five minutes–providing I use a concise prompt.
But those five minutes burn more than four percent of my five hour Claude Pro usage. And I know my usage costs more than I’m paying to Anthropic.
But it’s mesmerising to watch Claude Cowork do its thing.
