The schedule above confirms I will be showing a live demo of H5P Group AS’s smart import during the Digital Education Conference in Waterford Ireland on 9 December 2025 at 10am in room F06. I’m borrowing a workflow Frances ODonnell shared with me, culminating in a chase towards a prize for people who attend the workshop. There will be elements of academic integrity and immersive learning integrated to the H5P workshop. Both of those topics feature during the parallel sessions running along the H5P workshop.

I’m experimenting with this microblog post, wondering if I can embed an interactive book here. I plan to create and then publish an interactive book immediately after my workshop.

I will also show how possibilities outside of H5P that allow educators to quickly decide on integrating new course material. I'm using an extract called Generativism.

Here are four practical tasks Bernie will demonstrate to show H5P's capabilities while showcasing different AI tools:

1. Interactive Video Quiz Creation Start with a script outline and produce a 5-minute lecture topic. Use Leuchtturm notes. Record video, then use H5P’s smart import to embed the quiz questions at strategic points. This demonstrates how AI makes H5P smarter.

2. Course Summary Presentations Use Claude.ai to analyze course materials from a “AI just with phones” microlearning workshop and generate a comprehensive summary with key concepts organized thematically. Ask Copilot.microsoft.com to suggest visual metaphors and slide structures for the content. Then create an H5P Course Presentation that allows students to navigate through the material non-linearly, with embedded knowledge checks using H5P’s branching scenarios. This shows how AI handles content synthesis while H5P creates engaging, self-paced learning experiences.

3. Adaptive Branching Scenarios Use ChatGPT.com to develop a case study with multiple decision points relevant to your discipline (e.g., ethical dilemmas in research, clinical decision-making, or business scenarios). Have Claude.ai refine the narrative flow and suggest consequences for each choice. Build this into H5P’s Branching Scenario content type, which creates choose-your-own-adventure style learning. This demonstrates AI’s strength in generating complex scenarios and H5P’s ability to deliver adaptive learning paths.

4. Watch H5P’s Smart Import Review the output of the first recording session. Explore the deep learning concepts that H5P Smart Import produced. Comment on the viability of ‘Drag the Words’ exercise. Use claude.ai to generate immediate feedback text for correct and incorrect placements. This shows how AI can rapidly create assessment content while H5P provides the interactive mechanics that make formative assessment engaging.

5. Final Quiz Use the Socrative DEC25 room to complete a quiz. Discuss overall impressions of H5P.com

Each task demonstrates the workflow: AI tools for ideation, content generation, and refinement → H5P for interactive delivery and student engagement.
