Chatting with AI mixed results

I’ve discovered OpenAI has more than a chatbot. It’s called ChatGPT and in many ways it seems smarter than Google.
ChatGPT does predictive text generation well. I can give it a short prompt and it could write this blog post.
It handles basic zero-shot tasks well. I can dump blocks of text into ChatGPT and it creates very good summaries.
I can get it to imitate my style just by showing it a collection of my work and then asking it to produce another blog post based on the style that I establish with it.
Major Limitations of ChatGPT
- It hallucinates. It frequently drifts away after producing 80-100 words. Sometimes it contradicts itself.
- Lacks conversational skills. I have to prompt it again and again to remember what I asked.
- Its math skills suck.
I’ve a few more rough thoughts scribbled among the notes I’ve got in my Moleskines. I think I might teach a few people what I’ve discovered.

I reckon a few of my Moleskines and Leuchtturms might be interesting to read if chatting with AI becomes a thing.
